ABSTRACT:
Substitutable Medical Apps and Reusable Technology (SMART) is an open platform
designed to take health care information interoperability to the next level. It promises the ability to create an application once (whether iOS, Android or HTML5) and then deploy it at any health care institution where the platform is implemented. Duke is the first Epic-based site to implement this technology, and is involved at the national level to ensure its success.
