ABSTRACT:
We build complex systems, websites and applications for our students, faculty and
staff, but how do we know if we have made the best decision for the user? Research, that’s how. Without proper funding and staff, this hill might seem too daunting to climb, but it can be done! There are tools and strategies that make it easier for you. This presentation will review the modern basics of UX Research and give practical tips, techniques and scalable strategies that you can apply right away. This talk will be tied to modern UX research theories, building upon what we learned over a a decade ago from Jacob Nielson and applying it to a responsive-screen-sized-world.
