Call for Proposals: Due March 15!

We are now accepting proposals for information sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and posters through Friday, March 15.

Remember, this is an event about IT at Duke, for IT at Duke, and by IT staff at Duke. Your contributions are what make TechExpo a success year after year!

Need inspiration? Here are some ideas to help jump-start your proposals:

2024 TechExpo logo

  • This year’s theme is Take the Leap! How have your projects challenged you this past year? Are there any new technologies or solutions you can share with the IT community? Are you leaping into the unknown by doing something that’s never been done at Duke before?
  • It’s also Duke’s 100th anniversary! Jump back in time through our IT history or share lessons learned along the way. We’d love to hear your stories about working in the IT profession at Duke — whether you’ve been here a few months or a few decades!
  • Presentations do not need to be heavily technical — we welcome submissions across the technical spectrum! Our most popular sessions have often been aimed at beginners.

Accepted proposals will be presented on site with the option for remote access via Zoom on Friday, May 17, 10am – 3pm.

Volunteers Wanted

It takes a village to pull off this event, so please consider volunteering! On the day of, we’ll need help moderating Zoom sessions and assistance in various areas on site, among other things. If you can give a little of your time, please email techexpovols@duke.edu.
