ABSTRACT:
Duke leadership has identified IT security as one of the highest areas of institutional risk in the coming years. During this session, we will provide background information and case studies to help explain their reasoning, using examples of security events from the past year from both inside and outside of Duke. We will tell you some of the ways that we secure our network, respond to incidents, and mitigate risk. We will also highlight coming initiatives to improve our security posture and the expected impact to users.
